[오늘의 생활영어] nothing to get excited about; 재미가 없다
(Two roommates are eating breakfast…) Vicky: How was the English class you went to last night? Kathy: It was nothing to get excited about. Vicky: What happened? Kathy: Well it started slowly and was all downhill from there. Vicky: What was the problem? Kathy: The teacher didn‘t give anybody a chance to talk. Vicky: It sounds like it was a lecture. Kathy: And it was supposed to be a conversation class. Vicky: So what’s your next move? Kathy: I‘ll look around for another school. 기억할만한 표현 *to be all downhill from (or since) (here or there): 갈수록 악화되다. “The first part of the year was good, but it’s been all downhill since then.” *What’s (one’s) next move?: Jim: “What’s your next move?” Roger: “My next move is to start my own business.” “I’m still looking around for a wife.”
